Woof Field

In this project, I created a mobile app called Woof Field. The app is designed to give details about ten dog parks within a 25-kilometer distance in the southeast area of Melbourne. This way, dog owners can easily find and visit these parks whenever it suits their schedule.

Details

Each park within the application offers key clues, and users can use augmented reality (AR) to locate and capture them. Upon successful completion, both dogs and their owners receive corresponding rewards, encouraging more visits to different dog parks. The goal is to encourage more people to take their canine companions outdoors, ultimately reducing the risk of mental health issues in dogs.

Functionality

The application provides clues to the secret locations in ten parks. Users can use the AR feature to discover and pinpoint these secret spots. Once users find these secret locations, capture their canine friends in the frame, take a photo, and upload the image to earn corresponding rewards. The camera also captures the user’s location information, reducing hassle and ensuring accuracy.

Additionally, the application offers a scanning function that identifies the dog’s breed and provides information and tips.

Features to be used:

  • GPS

  • Camera access

  • Augmented reality

  • Scan code identification
